NATURE & CHERRY LOVERS, is another one of our special programs for nature lovers!
For two days we will show you the best kept secrets of Nordeste Trás-os-Montes. You can enjoy delicious picnics in the middle of nature, served at an altitude of 1200m in the middle of Serra de Bornes and with an irresistible view over the fascinating Lagos do Sabor.
We will also get in close contact with the Corços under protection in the Serra de Bornes, with a walk along the Rota do Corço and entry and visit to the respective protection enclosure. We will visit the exhibition by the artisan Fátima Gomes, where you will learn more about the wool cycle.
You will also have the opportunity to experience Cherry Picking and attend a Vegan Workshop with sweet and savory snacks based on Cherry.
This program also includes two irresistible activities, the serene cruise through Albufeira do Azibo in an ecological boat and, for the more adventurous, the experience of flying in paragliding.

Day 1
JUNE 10
09:00H Roe deer route + Entrance and visit to the protection enclosure of the Serra de Bornes Roe deer where they can be observed in the wild (Easy walk - approx. 5 km)
12:00H Climb to the top of Serra de Bornes (1200m) and lunch (picnic) served by the Alendouro Restaurant next to the paragliding take-off window of the National Paragliding Championship (transport to the top of the Serra and return included). Show with about 60 national and international pilots. Two-seat Paragliding Flight Baptisms (approx. 25 min/person) (optional extra).
16:00H Cruise on an ecological boat in Albufeira do Azibo with drink and appetizer served on board

JUNE 11TH
09:00 Departure from Macedo de Cavaleiros
09:30H Visit to the Wool Cycle, exhibition “Terra Quente” by artisan Fátima Gomes
10:00h “Cherry Picking” experience (offering the cherries picked by each person)
11:30 am Visit to the Cereja & Co event in Alfândega da Fé
13:00H Picnic at Lagos do Sabor with a spectacular panoramic view served by the Alendouro Restaurant
14:30H Vegan Workshop “A Cereja” (sweet and savory recipes with Chef Henrique Gemelgo) at Lagos do Sabor (people can actively participate by learning and practicing techniques).
4:30 PM Return to Macedo de Cavaleiros Round trip transportation to the center of Macedo de Cavaleiros included.
