A house that lasts through time, has a history that changes according to the taste of the owners who come and go, regulated by wills or not.

Casa dos Lagares de Vara e Pedra is a 19th-century farmhouse from Trás-os-Montes, with pole mills for the artisanal production of olive oil (crushing by animal traction) and wine.

To guarantee guests the comfort of modernity, without losing the ambience of the past, the entire house was subject to restoration works, isolating the rooms and creating spaces for common use: living room and games room.

We propose that you experience part of that history, and deepen your knowledge of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, in books about the region that we make available to our guests, in the main room (studies, novels, short stories, poetry and photographs).
