Carrazeda de Ansiães Classified monument Archeology
The dolmen of Vilarinho da Castanheira or Pala da Moura as it is also known is located next to the mill complex of Ribeiro do Coito. This structure, which no longer has any trace of its mound, is part of a typology often seen in megalithic funerary architecture, a chamber with a polygonal configuration made up of eight pillars including the head slab. It also has a cover and a corridor facing east. From this primitive corridor it is possible to observe four megaliths apparently still in situ. On the inside of one of the pillars, faint traces of a primitive pictorial composition can be seen.
