Natural patrimony
The Protected Landscape of Albufeira do Azibo (PPAA) owes its protection to the importance of its natural values. It is a vegetation repository of national importance and is home to several endangered species. Besides, it is an excellent example of sustainable development that promotes leisure and recreational activities in harmony with environmental protection.
In the Protected Landscape of Albufeira do Azibo, visitors can walk or cycle, go to the beach (there are two blue flag beaches and various sports equipment) and practice water sports (non-motorised), rest on the terraces, have picnics in the snacks and visit museums and surrounding villages, watch birds and participate in organized environmental interpretation activities.
