Natural patrimony
Located at 700 meters above sea level, the village of Folgares, with a remote settlement, was part of the then Municipality of Freixiel since its creation.
The Gralheira Viewpoint, at an altitude of 734 meters, is also an interesting place, as it is one of the best in the County, from where you can see not only a beautiful panoramic view over the surrounding landscape, but also over several neighboring villages, the Tua valley, the Freixiel basin and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Assumption.
Fraga dos Penhascos, located on the border of Folgares with Zedes and Mogo de Malta, form a beautiful-horrible set of overlapping boulders.
