Religious Heritage Carrazeda Ansiães

The hermitage of N. Sra. da Paixão, is located in Arnal and consists of a religious temple in the Baroque style, whose oldest documentary reference dates back to the Parish Memories of 1758. Its splendor lies inside, mainly the main altarpiece. The space surrounding the sanctuary has the house of the friar, who, according to the work “Por Terras de Ansiães” by Cristiano Morais, had a hermit who lived there from the 16th to the 19th century.
