Romeu is a village that is outside the route of the Saber Fazer Route, but due to the particularity of the small cluster it is included here as a Point of Interest.
Romeu is a village with about two dozen houses, the overwhelming majority of which have a traditional design, marked by a central garden, a restaurant, “Maria Rita”, known for decades in Portugal and a parish church. Where you can find a quiet, typical and well-preserved Trás-os-Montes village. If you come in spring, you’ll understand why they call it the Village of Roses”.
