The XXV Feira da Caça e Turismo and the XXVII Festa dos Caçadores do Norte are back between January 26th and 29th, 2023, after the interregnum due to the pandemic.
This event has permanent activities, which include an exhibition and practice of Falconry, an exhibition of Live Fauna of Hunting Species, an adventure park, horseback riding and moments of cultural entertainment, as well as a number of different initiatives, which include horse riding, tourist raids , Cetraria Iberian Cup (Santo Ambrósio), greyhound racing, beauty test of setter dogs and cattle from Trás-os-Montes, off-road trial, among others.
Gastronomy will also be highlighted, on these days, with the Boar Route, in participating restaurants, as well as showcooking initiatives, in the Municipal Exhibition Park.
This exhibition, organized by the Municipality of Macedo de Cavaleiros in partnership with the Federation of Hunters’ Associations of the 1st Hunting Region, promotes our hunting, natural and landscape heritage, as well as all associations in the municipality whose activity is linked to this theme, guaranteed to reverse seasonality in tourism and captivate people, which can favor the local economy, restaurants and hotels.
